Comfortable and Stylish

Ten of us stayed at the Jetty House last weekend, and our stay was absolutely amazing. The house is gorgeous... I don't know what was our favorite part... the giant windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the comfortable and stylish décor, the incredibly comfortable beds, the game room, the cleanliness of every square inch of the place, the communicative and friendly host... We will definitely be back to stay at the Jetty House! Kelly   photo 1

Historical Tragedy

Where Gertrude’s Cabin had stood since 1929, owner Dan Johnson could only see piles of logs after the Sandy River floods in January 2011. Floodwaters swept the cabin away entirely. “You would’ve thought you’d find the fridge or the septic tank or the foundation, but there was nothing,” Johnson said. “It’s like the house was put into a blender, and it just munched it.”

We are back to reality (bummer) but I wanted to let you know that the cabin is adorable and we had a great time in the Mt. Hood and Portland areas.  Thanks again for all your help!

an oasis in time

Thank you so much for the perfect setting for our vacation. I wish so much we were back at Gertrude’s. I have to say it was the best vacation my family has ever had. You have made the cabin an oasis in time. My kids never once grumbled about the “no electronics” rule and actually had fun with one another. Your cabin is the perfect setting for a family and makes you feel so welcome. Thank you again for allowing us to stay there, it was perfect in every way.”

Thanks Again,
